Last week 22-year-old pop singer Charli XCX announced the title of her sophmore album Sucker. We’ve got almost two months to go before the October 21 release date, but not to worry. She’s continuing to whet our appetites with the video for her latest single “Break the Rules.”

Charli and her crew breeze through the traditional high school setting before trashing a bus and crashing the prom.

Rose McGowan makes an appearance as the bitter chaperone determined to ruin everyone’s night. She dumps a bucket of candy-colored goo on Charli and friends in hopes of ending the fun, but the girls just keep on dancing.

The singer claimed that she wanted the video to have a ’90s feel, and based on McGowan’s role in cult comedy Jawbreaker, she’s achieved that exact effect.

Sucker will be released on October 21 via Atlantic Records.
