The Breeders Ready New Material For September Tour

Remember when Kim Deal quit the Pixies so she could focus on her band The Breeders? Well they appear to be nearing the completion of a new record, the group’s first since 2008′s Mountain Battles LP and a lengthy world tour — we’re talking eight months and 60 dates — supporting the twentieth anniversary of their breakthrough album Last Splash.

“This September, we will debut a selection of new songs,” the alt-rock survivors wrote on Facebook, “with a series of dates leading up to a show at the Hollywood Bowl where — joined by [violinist] Carrie Bradley — we’ll share the stage with Neutral Milk Hotel.”
