After releasing the Clear Lake Forest EP over the summer, the Black Angels are back with a dark holiday treat in the form of the single “Molly Moves My Generation.” The Austin psych band’s new track clocks in at nearly nine minutes, with the opening section featuring an unsettling bass groove, reverb-heavy guitar drones, and hard-to-decipher vocals. Then, everything nearly goes comes to a halt in the middle with a bare-bones instrumental section that sets you up for the double-timed, feedback-drenched freakout that doesn’t let up for three minutes.

The song is available via London’s Fuzz Club Records’ split singles series and comes backed with “Lost Reprise” by Italy’s Sonic Jesus on the B side. The limited-edition vinyl release is due out December 15th, with pre-orders available now.
