The next time you’re booking a Stevie Wonder tribute concert, you could do a whole lot worse than open with BeyoncéStevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute, recorded a week ago at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, aired last night on CBS, and the versatile singer tore through a Wonder covers medley. She started by singing “Fingertips” solo, then dueted with Ed Sheeran on “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” before getting some blazing guitar solos from Gary Clark Jr.  on “Higher Ground.” As with Beyoncé’s performance of gospel song “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” before Common and John Legend’s “Glory” at last week’s Grammy Awards, it was a commanding example of how these types of made-for-TV ensembles can work at their best. Watch below, and see Wonder clap his hands just a little bit louder.
