Belle and Sebastian let us have a listen to the first single off their upcoming album Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance. They shared “The Party Line” with Tom Ravenscroft on the BBC 6Music Drive Show, and as the press release noted, it is their first radio single since 2010′s “Come on Sister.” Indeed, the new album was four years in the making for Belle and Sebastian. They announced the tracklisting and made it available for pre-order two weeks ago.

In addition to the single, the band also announced an extended list of tour dates in 2015. Stuart Murdoch stated:

The People’s Republic of Belle and Sebastian is on the move again, taking its message of responsible pop music in a revolutionary age to lands far and near. A little bit older, but no wiser, maturing like a fine wine ought to, our love for music, and the chance to lay it on your tender ear, is not diminished. We will pop you.

The group is also currently hosting a Facebook Q+A on their page as of 1:30 PM EST.

Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance and will be available on January 20, 2015 via Matador.
