Beach House have been taking their time, but now they’re raising hopes for a follow-up to Bloom (one of our sister site eMusic’s Best Albums of 2012).

As Tom Breihan points out over at Stereogum, the Baltimore-based band formed by Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally has previously kept up a steady pace of one new album every two years. Time is running out on the chance of getting their fifth album in 2014, but Beach House recently wrapped up a Canadian tour. Footage has surfaced online of them performing a new song on October 6 in Montreal.

It’s a fan-shot video, lasting only 90 seconds, but the latest material seems in keeping with the group’s estimable catalog, with Legrand’s otherworldly vocal atop unhurried organ. The as-yet-untitled song isn’t the only post-Bloom track from Beach House: They also contributed “Saturn Song” to Lefse Records‘ 2014 compilation Space Project.
