Look, it’s Friday, and beyond that, we know quite a few of you have the World Cup on your mind anyway. So without further ado, here is the most questionable career move Axl Rose has made since the Guns N’ Roses frontman decided to kick Slash out of the band. What is it exactly? Why, it’s Budweiser’s “Greatest Show on Earth” spot, which features a handful of superstar players — Brazil’s Hulk, England’s Gary Cahill, Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o and Southampton’s Yoshida according to Rolling Stone — performing a profoundly corny version of “Paradise City.” Rose, meanwhile, watches the world’s worst cover band from the sidelines, raising a golden Bud bottle at the end.
