Lana Del Rey is about to get her Freak on. The new season of FX series American Horror Story, titled American Horror Story: Freak Show, debuts on October 8, and last night the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, hinted the episodes will include a cover of the Ultraviolence singer.

“Tina, don’t be afraid,” Murphy tweeted in reply to a viewer (via Vulture). “The clown is scary, true. But don’t you wanna see Jessica Lange sing a Lana Del Rey song?”

A recent AHS: Freak Show trailer featured New York singer/songwriter Melanie Martinez’s “Carousel,” an eerie song we previously compared to Del Rey’s work. The show’s title is no joke, as you can tell from the range of characters played by the strong ensemble cast, including ringmistress Lange, bearded lady Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett as a three-breasted woman.

AHS has used music to clever effect before. Stevie Nicks performed on an episode last season. Another recent teaser used music by Françoise Hardy. And the series’ theme was co-composed by former Nine Inch Nails member Charlie Clouser.

Below, watch the newest trailer, which understandably terrified Murphy’s Twitter correspondent.
